In enterprise environments with windows operation system, there is a usual need to create a shortcut pointing to a network shared folder. Find below the exacts steps from a windows 10 workstation.
Click on the search icon and type the server name with the prefix "\\" and click on Run Command
example: \\trustsvr0002
In the window that will appear, right click to the desired folder and click on create shortcut
Click on "Yes" to the message and find your Shortcut on your desktop
